Army Seeks Info on Cloud Services to Support Enterprise Transition Effort

The U.S. Army is conducting market research on cloud computing services to support the transition of its information technology operations into a commecial cloud infrastructure.The Army seeks information on vendors that can help migrate IT capabilities, including 154 Army Human Resources Command applications, as part of the service branch's inital implementation of the Enterprise Computing Environment, according to FedBizOpps notice released Thursday.The request for information noted that the Army's Cybersecurity Service Provider can currently support commercial cloud environments such as Microsoft’s Azure platform and Amazon Web Services.
