Workspot, the Cloud PC company, announced today that its world-class Center of Excellence (COE), a unique customer advocacy program led by a team of the foremost virtual desktop and public cloud experts, now incorporates the expertise of its Cloud Alliance partners, expanding the reach of the program to drive customer success. With its white-glove Cloud PC implementation framework, the COE has earned Workspot a Net Promoter Score of 80 in its most recent customer survey – the very best in class. With today’s complex enterprise requirements, most customers are not internally equipped with the unique blend of end user computing and multi-cloud skill sets needed for successful Cloud PC implementation. In response to customer needs, Workspot packaged the three key cornerstones of a successful Cloud PC implementation – people, product and process – to form the COE. Now this same, proven framework can be used by Workspot’s elite Cloud Alliance partners, incorporating each partner’s unique capabilities for serving customers. “Six years ago, with the deep expertise of Workspot’s Customer Success Team, it took us only a week to deploy our Workspot cloud workstations and realize value, unlike the months it took to get just one desktop running with on-prem VDI,” said Israel Sumano, Senior Director of Infrastructure at Southland Industries. “Since then, the Center of Excellence has delivered the expertise and innovative tools that enable us to collaborate closely with Workspot on strategic initiatives that make our business more agile and secure. Workspot’s COE is like nothing else I’ve experienced in the virtual desktop industry, and we continue to realize tremendous value from this unique relationship.” “Workspot’s Center of Excellence delivers fast time-to-first-value and ROI for enterprise Cloud PC customers” said Mike Strohl, CEO Entisys360. “As a member of the Cloud Alliance Program, we’ll complement the COE processes and tools with our vast expertise with virtual desktops, thereby enabling us to deliver tremendous value to our customers.” Spearheaded by VP of Customer Success and former Workspot customer Matthew Davidson, the Workspot COE brings together the industry’s best end user computing and cloud experts for an unmatched implementation experience. “When I sat in the customer seat, the customer success team was one of the strongest selling points for Workspot’s Cloud PC solution during the evaluation process,” Davidson reflects. “Ultimately, I was so inspired by the ease of the implementation that I joined the Workspot team to help other companies streamline their digital transformation with Cloud PCs.” To provide expert guidance throughout the implementation process, Workspot leverages Workspot Watch, the company’s big data collection and analysis system, which continuously provides insights into Cloud PC performance and connectivity, proactively identifying root causes and behavioral patterns often before customers are even aware of a problem. In addition to its state-of-the art tools, Workspot uses customer-centric processes and methodologies to ensure long-term success. Between its ADIME methodology, onboarding services, outstanding customer support, customer success update meetings and executive business reviews, Workspot delivers a carefully defined process aimed at business uptime, addressing new requirements and innovating collaboratively. “The Center of Excellence is the foundation of the Workspot Cloud PC success formula,” said Amitabh Sinha, Co-Founder and CEO of Workspot. “Now our Cloud Alliance Partners bring their deep expertise to the COE as well, ensuring a high-quality experience for our joint customers as we deploy Cloud PCs into Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and Amazon Web Services.” About Workspot Workspot is the only cloud-native solution that delivers enterprise-class Cloud PCs. Innovative MSP Trusts Scale Computing to Modernize its IT Infrastructure and Boost its Bottom Line

Prnewswire | April 20, 2023

Scale Computing, the market leader in edge computing, virtualization, and hyperconverged solutions, today announced Managed Services Provider (MSP) customer success with its SC//Fleet Manager solution, the first cloud-hosted monitoring and management tool built for hyperconverged edge computing infrastructure at scale. Integrated directly into the Scale Computing Platform, SC//Fleet Manager consolidates real-time conditions for a fleet of clusters, including storage and compute resources, allowing IT leaders to quickly identify areas of concern from a single pane of glass. Cat-Tec, an MSP based in Ontario, Canada, provides enterprise-level computer network consulting to small and mid-sized businesses. Before modernizing its infrastructure with Scale Computing, Cat-Tec relied on a combination of Nutanix, VMware, and Hyper-V virtualization technologies to run its infrastructure and resell to its customers. However, they soon realized that the cost and complexity of deploying these systems were limiting their ability to scale their business and secure new customers. "While our clients all have very different operating requirements, they all have one thing in common – they want to spend less time troubleshooting their technology stack and more time focused on running their business," said Genito Isabella, co-founder and VP of Systems Integration for Cat-Tec. "Every hour that one of our IT professionals spends manually updating firmware on a server or trying to correctly diagnose a performance issue is time that could be spent on other strategic, revenue-generating projects." To overcome these challenges, Cat-Tec decided it was time to invest in a modern hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) solution that could help their team manage and scale their distributed infrastructure in a more efficient, cost-effective, and holistic manner. Following a rigorous vendor evaluation process, Cat-Tec selected Scale Computing due to the simplicity of its modular architecture, the ability of SC//Fleet Manager to monitor and manage multiple clusters from a single console, as well as the SC//Platform's native integration with leading third-party backup systems which ensures resilience in the event of a system-wide disruption. "We estimate that the ability to pre-stage hardware has saved us an average of four hours per deployment per client implementation. Meanwhile, using SC//Fleet Manager to proactively troubleshoot issues remotely has dramatically improved our ability to meet our SLAs," continued Isabella. "This means we can now devote more time helping customers solve real problems rather than just constantly having to put out fires. It's not an exaggeration to say that Scale Computing has completely transformed our business." About Scale Computing Scale Computing is a leader in edge computing, virtualization, and hyperconverged solutions. Using patented HyperCore™ technology, Scale Computing Platform automatically identifies, mitigates, and corrects infrastructure problems in real-time, enabling applications to achieve maximum uptime, even when local IT resources and staff are scarce. Edge Computing is the fastest-growing area of IT infrastructure, and industry analysts have named Scale Computing an outperformer and leader in the space, including being named the #1 edge computing vendor by CRN. Scale Computing's products are sold by thousands of value-added resellers, integrators, and service providers worldwide. When ease of use, high availability, and TCO matter, Scale Computing Platform is the ideal infrastructure platform. Platform9's Latest Release Cuts Costs of Legacy Virtual Machines by 50%

Businesswire | May 19, 2023

Platform9, a leader in helping enterprises with a better way to go cloud native, today announced the most recent release of its products Platform9 KubeVirt and Platform9 Managed Kubernetes (PMK) to address the most pressing budget, staffing, and operational efficiency challenges enterprises are facing in today’s tight economy. As CEOs and CFOs step in to assess costs at all levels, IT leaders are faced with a number of challenging tasks, including controlling cloud costs, lowering legacy vendor license fees, optimizing staffing, and improving operational efficiencies. With this release, Platform9 can help enterprises migrate 100s and even 1000s of virtual machines from legacy virtualization products, driving down costs in several ways: Save by product consolidation and reduced license fees: Replace multiple legacy virtualization products and their extremely expensive enterprise licensing fees. Save enormous public cloud bills by repatriating to on-premises or co-location infrastructure: Migrate to another environment for a fraction of the cost of public cloud. Eliminate the need for costly hardware investments. Run legacy VMs on a modern self-service virtualization solution on existing infrastructure. Save on operation costs: Leverage built-in automation for multiple operational tasks such as lifecycle management, monitoring, alerting, self-healing, security patching, and troubleshooting “To optimize spending, businesses today are reducing the number of enterprise virtualization products and vendors with very expensive license fees,” said Bhaskar Gorti, CEO of Platform9. “Platform9’s latest release unifies, in a single platform, the capabilities of many legacy products including virtualization, container management, monitoring, bare metal management, management plane, and much more. Adopting a platform-based approach such as this for infrastructure management can help reduce costs by consolidating and eliminating redundant products and operational overhead.” Platform9’s approach is unifying and consolidating capabilities available in multiple legacy products into one platform. The latest 5.8 release incorporates the most recent open-source versions of Kubernetes (for container management) and KubeVirt (for VM management), including many infrastructure services for monitoring, load balancing, logging, networking, and much more. Platform9 KubeVirt has a modern user interface and terminology that both VM and infrastructure operators are familiar with. IT teams that are adopting the platform do not need to understand the underlying Kubernetes complexity, which reduces onboarding and training time. Engineering teams who are currently developing and delivering cloud native applications, on the other hand, may leverage the full power of Kubernetes on the same platform. Platform9 5.8 KubeVirt includes several improvements to VM performance, scalability, monitoring, and reliability, significantly matching legacy VM functionality at a lower cost. Notable capabilities include: Guaranteed 99.9% uptime SLA through remote monitoring and alerting: Platform9 management plane remote monitoring is now extended to KubeVirt services. You can now act on alerts round-the-clock to ensure your VMs’ availability. Tested at scale: Rigorous scale-testing to ensure that the platform can run in a variety of scale situations: a few nodes in thousands of locations (for edge use cases) and hundreds of nodes in a few locations (data center or public cloud regions use case). Advanced networking with OVS and performance add-ons: Leverage DPDK, SRIOV and other built-in features to run your networking processes at line speed. "Enterprises today face an ever-increasing need for agility and cost-effectiveness to thrive in a challenging economic environment," said Madhura Maskasky, VP of product and co-founder of Platform9. "With Platform9 5.8, we're delivering a unified virtualization and containerization platform that is secure, scalable, and easy to manage - giving enterprises the flexibility to deploy, orchestrate, maintain, and observe infrastructure across any cloud, edge, or on-premises infrastructure."
