What is the Schaff Indicator Suggesting For Vmware Inc (VMW)?

Clayton Caller | May 26, 2019

Vmware Inc (VMW) shares have seen their Schaff Trend Cycle gradually downtrend this week over the past few sessions. While this indicates negative price momentum, it also suggests that if the reading moves into oversold territory (STC of 30), then the liklihood of a reversal greatly increases. Investors will be watching very closely over the next few days to see if the trend contiunes or reverses. The Schaff Trend Cycle (STC) indicator combines the common indicators of MACD & Stochastic. The benefit of the Schaff Trend Cycle is that it is meant to be quicker than the standard macd and stochastic signals. The indicator uses similar methods to a MACD i.e uses exponetial moving averages but applies a cycle factor to them. Then the ‘price’ is smoothed using a mofidied Wilders’ smoothing algorithm. The Schaff Trend Cycle indicator fluctuates between 0 and 100. Readings below 20 are considered oversold while readings above 80 are considered overbought. The STC indicator fluctuates between 0 and 100. Readings below 20 are considered oversold while readings above 80 are considered overbought.

Opera Is the Only Major Browser Featuring Free and Pro VPNs

Opera | June 02, 2022

Opera was the first major browser to provide a free, unlimited, no-log built-in browser VPN service six years ago. Opera is now extending its security capabilities with the new VPN Pro subscription model, a premium device-wide VPN that can also be utilized without the need to install separate software. The new VPN Pro service is now available for Android users on Opera. As a result, Opera is the only major browser that offers both a no-log, limitless free VPN for the browser and a device-wide VPN Pro solution, giving extra data security and robust online security. The VPN Pro service is already accessible in the developer version of the desktop Opera browser. Opera has been a recognized industry leader for over 25 years, giving the greatest online experience with greater privacy and security. Stefan Stjernelund, Product Director of Opera for Android said that "We know that VPN services have become an essential part of browsing, which is why we now offer both a Free and a Pro solution to our users. This makes it a unique proposal on the market." A one-of-a-kind deal that includes both free and paid VPN services: Standalone VPN programs that secure the complete device often need extra actions from the user, such as installing the software, creating an account, and integrating it with their system. In contrast, Opera's mission has always been to make online security simple and uncomplicated. As a result, VPN Pro has been integrated into Opera's Android browser. Users can surf securely with a free, no-log, limitless VPN that secures their browser, or they can use VPN Pro to cover their complete computer. The availability of both free and paid VPN services distinguishes Opera's offering on the market. "We have always focused on protecting our users' privacy with advanced built-in features aimed at keeping them safe when they surf the web. We have decided to expand that offering with a unique service that users have been asking for – both Free and Pro VPN solutions tailored to their needs. Now users can easily choose what suits them best and browse comfortably, knowing that their data is under powerful protection." Stefan Stjernelund, Product Director of Opera for Android

Mavenir’s Containerized Open vRAN Small Cell Solution Wins Award

Mavenir | May 30, 2022

Mavenir, the network software company transforming the way the world connects by contributing to the growth of networks with cloud-native software that runs on any cloud, today announced that it has won the SCF Small Cell Awards 2022 for Significant Contributions to Emerging Technology or Architecture for its design and delivery of the first fully containerized small cell Open Virtualized Radio Access Network (Open vRAN) for indoor and outdoor connectivity. Mavenir's containerized Open vRAN solution is the first of its type, combining Open RAN compatibility with container mobility and flexibility. This small cell solution applies the same forward-thinking ideas that have had substantial benefits in macro networks to small cell networks. The adoption of a containerized solution is an important step in the development of connectivity, as it shifts away from physical infrastructure and toward a digital cloud-based environment. Containers advance virtualization by enabling network workloads to operate anywhere: on-premise, private cloud, or public cloud. The same solution may be readily migrated to a new platform with no modifications, resulting in the optimum resource usage at the best pricing. Containerization gives more flexibility while also providing considerable advantages in terms of deployment time and cost. Moving network operations to a new platform takes just minutes. The combination of Open RAN with containerization in a single architecture results in: By reducing the profitability barrier for small cell installations, new income sources are created. more task management flexibility increased supplier pool and promotion of innovation “The judges were excited by this solution because it has combined two important technologies in a way that contributes to a key goal for operators – fully distributed load and traffic management. This will be very important for making virtualized small cell networks scalable and efficient.” Caroline Gabriel, Rethink Technology Research
