This presentation and demo will include explanation and demonstration of virtual machine migration from NSX-V to NSX-T without any downtime of the VMs. cITopus VM Migration Utility will be demonstrated for live migration of VMs from NSX-V to NSX-T. Such operation is possible using an NSX-T Bridge, which can be deployed into NSX-V using a point-n-click wizard from cITopus. When virtual machines are migrated along with the Gateway, the VMs will experience a small outage (usually less than 15 seconds) for the gateway switchover from NSX-V to NSX-T. cITopus VM Migration Utility creates everything that the virtual machines need, including segments, ateways, micro-segmentation, vCenter Tags, Temporary IPSETs and Groups in source and destination to minimize downtime and eliminate manual tasks. The presentation will also include content on migrating virtual machines live from on-premises environments to cloud environments i.e. VMC and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

This presentation and demo will explain the pre-migration analysis process of NSX-V to NSX-T migration efforts. Organizations embarking on NSX-V to NSX-T migration initiatives need to know the cost, effort, risk, timeframe and skill set requirements to plan for the migration. Organizations are concerned about the type, length, and impact of each outage (ESXi, VMs, Overlay and Underlay Networking, Micro-Segmentation, Dynamic Routing) to be able to manage notifications and unplanned outages. The demo will showcase the use of cITopus to produce diagrams, assessment reports, and simulation reports from NSX-V environments.

Learn how to migrate a multi data center environment from NSX-V Primary/Secondary to NSX-T Federation using cITopus using both Lift-n-Shift and In-Place migration options. cITopus Lift-n-Shift and InPlace migration utilities convert all NSX-V networking and security components including Logical Switches, Transport Zones, ESXi VxLAN, Edges, (Universal) Distributed Logical Router, (Universal) Sections, (Universal) Distributed Firewall Rules, (Universal) Security Groups, (Universal) Security Tags, IP Sets, and Dynamic Inclusions and Exclusions from multiple data centers into Federated NSX-T architecture. The demonstration will also include merging multiple NSX-V environments into a single NSX-T environment (Federated or Local). cITopus has capabilities to promote all NSX-V global objects to NSX-T federated, allowing users to manage all multi-dc objects form a single pane of glass, which is NSX-T Global Manager.

As economies attempt to recover amidst rising threats from new COVID-19 variants, managed service providers encounter increased pressure to deliver greater value, take on more responsibilities, and improve cybersecurity/ compliance capabilities. It’s a welcome mix of challenges with enormous opportunities due to a business environment shaped by the new normal.
Before you start ramping up expansions in the cybersecurity side of your business, join Ryan Smith, Armor’s Product Evangelist, to devise a well-thought-out plan by focusing on three key areas:
What should I look for in a cybersecurity solution?
There are many vendors and technologies. How do I know which is best for my portfolio?
We know technology. However, cybersecurity isn’t our expertise. What kind of support should we look for?
