VMware acquires security start-up Intrinsic in ongoing cloud push

Terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.The acquisition represents another step in VMware’s embrace of cloud technologies, despite VMware’s legacy of providing products that companies can use to deploy software in their own data centers.Intrinsic sought to help software developers securely tap serverless computing, an increasingly popular approach that involves automatically triggering a system to operate when certain things happen.
