Aryaka Adds 'HybridWAN' Functionality to its SD-WAN Service

September 25, 2019 / David Ramel

Aryaka, known for its managed software-defined wide-area network (SD-WAN) offering, has added connectivity options with what it calls HybridWAN. Definitions of HybridWAN often describe a combination of multiple connections available for WAN traffic, such as multiprotocol label switching (MPLS) circuits and broadband Internet, for one example. For Aryaka, those connectivity options include its own Layer 2 core network and its managed Internet connectivity, with the L2 core option suitable for business-critical traffic a bailiwick of MPLS in traditional networks and the Internet option suitable for less critical and costly traffic.
