Italy VMUG UserCon

November 18, 2021 | Italy

Conference focus about the latest trends in virtualization.

Spotlight

The Mirai botnet infected and then exploited poorly secured IoT devices to perform the largest ever distributed denial-of-service attack. The critical components for establishing context. Includes the scope and extent of a suspected attack, and how best to coordinate the incident response actions. Big data analytics, machine learning, and other automated decision- making techniques can be applied to this problem to augment human capacity and judgment.

OTHER PAST CONFERENCES

Future Networks Testbed Requirements, Challenges and Opportunities

February 8-10, 2022 | USA

Speaking proposals are sought for a Virtual Workshop on Testbed for Future Networks, hosted by IEEE Future Networks Initiative, International Network Generations Roadmap (INGR). The virtual event will take place 8-10 February 2021. The deadline for speaking proposals is 16 January 2022 and acceptance notifications will be distributed no later than two weeks later.

16th IEEE International Conference on Automatic Face and Gesture Recognition (FG 2021)

December 15-18, 2021 | USA

The IEEE conference series on Automatic Face and Gesture Recognition is the premier international forum for research in image and video-based face, gesture, and body movement recognition. Its broad scope includes advances in fundamental computer vision, pattern recognition, computer graphics, and machine learning techniques relevant to face, gesture, and body action, new algorithms, and analysis of specific applications.

2022 IEEE on Conference Virtual Reality and 3D User Interfaces (VR)

March 12-16, 2022 | New Zealand

The safety and well-being of all conference participants is our priority. After evaluating the current COVID-19 situation in New Zealand and the uncertainty around International travel, the decision has been made to transform the in-person component of IEEE VR 2022 into an all-digital conference experience and will now be an online event. Therefore, IEEE VR 2022 will no longer take place in Christchurch, New Zealand and will instead take place virtually. The conference dates remain the same (12 – 16 March 2022). Proceedings will not be cancelled, and publications will continue as planned. Our goal is to provide the best experience for virtual attendees, following in the historical footsteps of the virtual experience of VR 2020 in Atlanta and VR 2021 in Lisbon.

NOMS 2022 - 2022 IEEE/IFIP Network Operations and Management Symposium

April 25-29, 2022 | Hungary

The 18th IEEE/IFIP Network Operations and Management Symposium (NOMS 2022) will be held on 25-29 April 2022 in Budapest, Hungary. Held in even-numbered years since 1988, NOMS 2022 will follow the 34 years tradition of NOMS and IM as the primary IEEE Communications Society's forum for technical exchange on management of information and communication technology focusing on research, development, integration, standards, service provisioning, and user communities. The theme of NOMS 2022 is Network and Service Management in the Era of Cloudification, Softwarization and Artificial Intelligence. It aims to capture recent results, emerging approaches, and technical solutions for dealing with the management of Fixed and Mobile Networks and Services, Clouds, and Vertical Eco-Systems (e.g., smart cities and smart transportations).
