The Community Edition includes core HCI software SMTX OS and management platform CloudTower. The Community Edition allows users to experience core features of SmartX HCI, including
SMTX OS (community edition) that provides compute virtualization, distributed block storage, as well as network & security.

ZBS: the distributed block storage with the reliability and high performance battle-tested in production across financial services and other industries.

CloudTower (community edition) that provides multi-cluster management, capable of managing clusters across datacenters with one unified platform.
Designed for anyone interested in experiencing HCI, the Community Edition can be installed to learn, evaluate, or use conveniently with zero cost. HCI enthusiasts could get hands-on experience and see how HCI achieves simplicity, flexibility, and efficiency; End users considering HCI products could compare it with other alternatives and run a proof-of-concept test, before making a decision; IT engineers could deploy it for Dev & Test, starting with a small scale.
The installation and deployment of Community Edition are quite simple. It can be deployed on mainstream commercial x86 servers. The whole process takes approximately 2 hours*, users can check the minimum hardware requirements and guidance on the official website.
The Community Edition offers a 30-day free trial, and before it expires, users could apply for a free community perpetual license. SmartX also supports users to switch to Commercial Editions seamlessly to unlock more advanced capabilities.
Additionally, users could join SmartX Community on Slack, to get support from the community experts, and exchange ideas and feedback with professionals in IT infrastructure, distributed systems, and the cloud.

At VMware, Fleischmann is the CTO for business franchises within the organization such as VMware Managed Cloud (VMC - on AWS, Azure, and GCP), the VMware Cloud Provider Program (VCPP, a $10B ecosystem), Cloud Foundation (VCF) private clouds, HCI, vSphere, and vSAN.
Before joining VMware as Cloud CTO, Fleischman was founder and CEO for storage software company Datera, and social gaming company Smeet. Remotely monitor legal proceedings with For The Record's latest digital court reporting release, FTR Gold 7.6. The software that set the industry standard for quality and efficiency now offers fluid livestreaming of audio and video to support full remote management of courtroom recording from anywhere. By eliminating geographic constraints, FTR Gold 7.6 will allow jurisdictions to connect with a broader pool of available stenographers and digital court reporters.
FTR Gold 7.6 features several upgrades from past software versions. The primary upgrade is an accelerated FTR Reporter engine, which dramatically improves the playback performance of real-time proceedings to FTR Monitor and FTR Player over a wide area network (WAN) or virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) environment. The technology records and streams content with the market-leading functionality built into the latest versions of FTR Gold Recording and Monitoring Suites, including 16 channels of high-fidelity audio and four channels of high-definition video. This allows remote court monitors and digital court reporters to simultaneously record, monitor, and livestream proceedings anywhere on the court's network—in the courthouse or across the town, county, or state.

Netcracker Technology and Nuuday announced today that Nuuday, the largest telecom service provider in Denmark, has selected Netcracker as its strategic partner for the largest IT transformation program in the Nordic region. Netcracker’s cloud-native, microservices-based Digital BSS/OSS portfolio and Professional Services will serve as the cornerstone of the project to help the service provider eliminate legacy solutions, quickly launch new services and create superior digital customer journeys.
The transformation program will support all of Nuuday’s lines of business, including broadband, TV, mobile and B2B services. Nuuday will also leverage Netcracker Managed Services for the solution, which will be hosted in the public cloud.
