Dell Refreshes Virtual Solutions With Additional Support For Citrix And Windows Thin Client

Hot on the heels of Dell Security VDI press release last week, Dell has updated its entire thin client ecosystem. This includes hardware, client software, administrative console and storage management platform. To recap the prior announcement, Dell created new solutions for securing Citrix and VMware virtual desktop (VDI) and virtual workspace environments. This is built on a similar advanced threat detection technology as the managed Red Cloak offering by the former Dell SecureWorks. This week, the thin client updates include two new hardware offerings. Following Dell's naming convention, the new top-end model is the Dell Wyse 7040 (powered by quad-core Intel i5 and i7 Skylake processors), and the mainstream Dell Wyse 3030 LT.
