Dell EMC VxFlex Family Overview

May 20, 2019

Business IT departments are experiencing challenges with the shortcomings of Storage Area Networks (overprovisioning, low agility, difficult storage migration), multiple infrastructure and application silos, and proprietary and costly fiber channel networking requirements. Many of these challenges can be successfully addressed by Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI) that enables compute, storage and networking functions to be decoupled from the underlying infrastructure and run on a common set of physical resources. HCI uses software-defined storage (SDS), virtualization, x86 servers and high-speed ethernet together to create an x86 server-based SAN that provides the same high levels of performance, availability, and resiliency as a traditional SAN based on advanced storage arrays, specialized Fiber Channel networking, and high-end servers. HCI vastly improves infrastructure efficiency, lowers costs, and leads to IT transformation with improved agility, scalability and simplicity.

The definitive guide to secure remote access

whitePaper | December 22, 2021

Enterprises are migrating their private applications to public clouds, and users are consuming more applications, connecting to them from everywhere and from any device. This has created a proliferation of perimeters around users, devices, and applications. Although many organizations have already taken steps to embrace digitalization and enable a zero-trust network, their connectivity is still operating on incumbent network-centric approaches. Teams struggle to retrofit network-centric VPN technology to meet the needs of the modern user and the transforming business, but retrofitted approaches can prevent digitalization. It’s time to redefine secure remote access.

Enabling an AI-ready Infrastructure with VMware

whitePaper | February 23, 2022

Enterprise organizations are looking to embrace artificial intelligence (AI). In fact, in the past 12-18 months, many organizations are already well on their way down the AI path and most are struggling with how to operationalize it at production scale. They want to benefit from the game-changing and transformative benefits that can be realized from AI. A key component of embracing AI is arming data science teams with tools that enable timely success in achieving their AI goals.

Network as a programmable service

whitePaper | November 10, 2021

Over the past decade, the cloud has become integral to nearly every digital and business transformation strategy, allowing clients to access the latest technologies, such as IoT, high-performance computing, and blockchain from multiple vendors to reimagine business processes and ecosystems. However, the network and the inter-connectivity across physical infrastructure, virtual infrastructure, and “as-a-service” ingestion points hinder or block broad cloud adoption across the enterprise. Traditional networking approaches make it difficult to keep pace with change and take advantage of new and differentiating technology. Today’s leading network service providers are virtualizing the network, separating the proprietary network appliance functions into discrete hardware and software components. This enables networks to achieve the same benefits already realized with the virtualization and software-defined enablement of systems and storage. The virtualization of the network is recognized as Network Function Virtualization (NFV) and Virtualized Network Functions (VNF).

The Right Approach to Zero Trust for IoT Devices

whitePaper | May 3, 2022

Networking and security teams have historically relied on protections at the network perimeter to secure the entire enterprise. The internal network was deemed trusted and secure. While everything outside was considered “dirty,” everything on the internal network was considered “clean,” and application traffic would flow unrestricted. However, recent and developing shifts in enterprise working models are having a far-reaching effect on the traditionally managed network perimeter for security. The following trends are making organizations reassess their approach to security:
