Oracle Server X8-2 and Oracle Server X8-2L System Architecture

April 22, 2019

Oracle Server X8-2 and Oracle Server X8-2L, Oracle’s latest two-socket servers, are the newest additions to Oracle’s family of x86 servers that are purpose-built to be best for running private cloud solutions. Oracle Server X8-2 is a 1U server that is an ideal platform for infrastructure as a service (IaaS) and for small or medium flash-optimized instances of Oracle Database. Oracle Server X8-2L is a 2U server that is optimized for customers requiring a robust and reliable platform for running instances of Oracle Database with large amounts of direct-attached storage and as a consolidation platform capable of handling the I/O requirements of large numbers of virtual machines (VMs).

Versa SD-WAN Solution Use Case for Satellite ISPs

whitePaper | July 19, 2022

Satellite networks offer their customers several advantages over other types of connectivity. They are easily deployed, reliable, and allow a wide degree of mobility, making them a perfect fit for Disaster Recovery Plans (DRP). They are an essential asset in places where other connectivity methods are not available, such as oil rigs, vessels, or even planes. However, they have several characteristics that make them harder to manage when compared to other kinds of networks. This document will discuss those challenges and explore how the Versa Operating System (VOS™) can help you extract better performance out of your Satellite links.

So many ways to WAN

whitePaper | August 16, 2022

Software-defined WAN (SD-WAN) is an application-aware service that intelligently routes traffic in real time based on established business policies, along with network quality and availability. SD-WAN is used to connect multiple locations in a network to each other, to a data center, to applications and data in the cloud, or to SaaS platforms. Leveraging multiple, cost-effective access types at each location in an active-active configuration, an SD-WAN network routes application traffic over the best-performing network elements in real time and ensures automated failover for resiliency.
